Fiat Multipla

Fiat Multipla

The Multipla’s handling can almost be considered fun. Thanks to its wide track and wheel in-every-corner styling, the car is very stable through corners with little body roll and lots of grip. It has a nicely damped ride to make it comfortable for passengers.

The Multipla has space for six with three in the front and rear. The main advantage, says Fiat, is that passengers sit closer together and so can talk to each other. This means it’s very wide, and all passengers have plenty of space for elbows.

It is a great choice from Car Hire Crete if you ever make your vacations in Crete with

El Greco

Tuesday, April 15th, 2008

This is an article about the famous Cretan artist, the painter El Greco. His work has been greatly appreciated, inspired other artists and made his famous.
Resources were taken from Wikipedia – “http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/El_Greco“. Accessed at 04.15.2008.

“El Greco (“The Greek, 1541 – April 7, 1614) was a painter, sculptor, and architect of the Spanish Renaissance. He usually signed his paintings in Greek letters with his full name, Domenicos Theotokopoulos (Greek: ????????? ?????????????), underscoring his Greek origin.

El Greco was born in Crete, which was at that time part of the Republic of Venice, and the centre of Post-Byzantine art. He trained and became a master within that tradition before travelling at 26 to Venice, as other Greek artists had done. In 1570 he moved to Rome, where he opened a workshop and executed a series of works. During his stay in Italy, El Greco enriched his style with elements of Mannerism and of the Venetian Renaissance. In 1577 he moved to Toledo, Spain, where he lived and worked until his death. In Toledo, El Greco received several major commissions and produced his best known paintings.

El Greco’s dramatic and expressionistic style was met with puzzlement by his contemporaries but found appreciation in the 20th century. El Greco is regarded as a precursor of both Expressionism and Cubism, while his personality and works were a source of inspiration for poets and writers such as Rainer Maria Rilke and Nikos Kazantzakis. El Greco has been characterized by modern scholars as an artist so individual that he belongs to no conventional school.

He is best known for tortuously elongated figures and often fantastic or phantasmagorical pigmentation, marrying Byzantine traditions with those of Western painting.”

Spili springs

One place you definitely have to visit is Spili village. Spili is located in the center of Crete, in a green area full of trees, a symbol of the nature of Greece and the beauty of the island.

Spili is famous for its products. There are plenty of shops in the center of the village, selling traditional Cretan products like Greek hone, the famous Mediterranean virgin olive oil and several kind of cheese, like Mitzithra, malaka cheese and, of course, Feta cheese.

Renault Megane

Fresh from a mid-life facelift, the Renault Megane’s funky design still looks good.

Renault has done much over the past few years to improve build quality across the board and it shows here. The interior uses top quality materials, and the trim fit and finish is excellent.

The five-door models have eight airbags while the three-door has up to 10 and all models get anti-lock brakes. Deadlocks are a standard fit and top versions have a keyless entry and starting system.
